My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend trip to Miami and when I got to the hotel I was blown away by its great art deco feel and the staff were so incredibly helpful when it came to what there was to see in the area. From the bath robes to the soaps they provide every time we came back to the hotel it was like we had just arrived for the first time, Sadly the pool and restaurant were being renovated but I would definitely like to come back and see the improvements that were made. My stay at the Hotel Astor was EXCELLENT!! The service was great!!
I highly recommend the Hotel Astor in Miami Beach, Florida. The concierges (Ana Maria and Jorge Gonzalez) and the entire staff was friendly, professional, courteous, attentive and very helpful. The staff always smiled and acknowledged my sister and I every time.
The room has contemporary furniture, equipped with a refrigerator, mini bar, cable TV, mini stereo with a CD player and a very comfortable bed. We stayed in Room 105 which was very clean and roomy.
The hotel is conveniently located just two short blocks from the beach, and down the block from the bus stop (which takes you around Miami Beach for just 25 cents). You can catch a cab right in front of the hotel. If you want to rent a motorcycle to get around, the rental store is also right down the block which costs $50 for 24 hours. There are all types of restaurants (Cuban, American, Italian, etc.) just walking distance from the Hotel Astor.
